The FILM: The Wave (2022) (Drama)
The Wave is a compelling narrative that revolves around an impoverished family of six residing in Namuwongo slum. The story unfolds as Juliet and her husband face the dire consequences of the lockdown, resulting in the loss of their jobs. The situation takes a turn for the worse when her husband contracts COVID-19 and is isolated for several months, leaving Juliet feeling utterly helpless.
With the responsibility of feeding her family resting solely on her shoulders, Juliet finds solace in the support of her close friends and the government-provided food assistance. However, the aid falls short of sustaining the entire family throughout the prolonged lockdown period, adding to the challenges they face.
