Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya makes his Directorial debut for Netflix in the movie 'The Kitchen'. Co-Directed with Tavares Kibwe, "The Kitchen" is a movie conceived and written by Kaluuya, Kibwe and Daniel Emmerson.
It's a movie about a dystopian future in London where all social
housing has been eliminated, Izi (Kano Robinson) and Benji (Jedaiah Bannerman)
fight to navigate the world as residents of The Kitchen, a community that
refuses to abandon their home.
The film also introduces former England striker and Arsenal FC legend Ian Wright who plays Lord Kitchener. Daniel Kaluuya also doubles as producer of the project which starts showing on Netflix today January 19, 2024.
The film won the 2023 British Independent Film Award for Best Production Design and Best Effects. Additional cast also includes Teija Kabs, Hope Ikpoku Jr and Dani Moseley
