We’ve waited for this for years…wait, I’ll rephrase that “I’ve waited for this for years”. As a kid growing up, I listened to all kinds of music, it didn’t have to be gospel, it just had to be good. Because my favorite genre of music is ‘Good Music’.
And as young people, specifically teenagers, you never want to settle for anything less than the best, and that’s why I think as we grow up, we learn to compromise and settle for mediocre stuff, but I digress. Limit X broke that boundary between music you could listen to in Church and music you could listen to on the radio also known as ‘good music’, but also with a good massage in it.
All of a sudden this music was everywhere on the radio, and you couldn’t miss it because there were only two radio stations in town and you didn’t have much choice anyway.
And to the disappointment of many Limit X fans such as myself, we could only be fans from a far. How could a good Ugandan music group finally get on the scene and we not be able to see them up-close hmmm. They were so near yet so far as they were now based in the U.S. and we all graved that chance to see them live on stage.
So for me I’ll be honest, this is going to be my first time to see Limit X live on stage ‘together’. And I don’t even see this as a reunion, I see this as the show Limit X still owes me and I’ll be coming on that day to collect, all that ‘Malibongwe’.
The concert will be held this month April 28th, 2017 at the Kampala Serena Hotel at 6:00pm. Tickets go for UGX.150,000 for Gold, and Tables for 3M. See you at the Serena.
